Entity Framework for Non-Dummies

Welcome to the inaugural post for my new Catapult Systems Blog.  I’ll be presenting two themes:

  • Architect’s Corner – where we’ll discuss patterns and practices for .NET development.
  • Terry’s Bookshelf – where I’ll review new and classic books on software design and .NET programming.

We’ll start both themes with a focus on Microsoft’s ADO.NET Entity Framework (EF).  “Architect’s Corner” will examine how EF fits into the design of an enterprise web application of moderate size.  In “Terry’s Bookshelf” I’ll review two new books on EF:

  • Programming Entity Framework, by Julia Lerman, from O’Reilly press.
  • Professional ADO.NET with LINQ and the Entity Framework, by Roger Jennings, from WROX.

I hope you’ll stay tuned.
