It’s not SharePoint. It’s…

You know how sometimes during a break-up, someone might say "It’s not you, it’s me" when in reality, it’s actually them? Well the same goes for SharePoint environments as well. Sometimes it looks like SharePoint is broken, and while that may be true, there are also a host of other factors that can cause things to go awry.

As part of a new blog series, I’ll be sharing what those other factors can be and including a real-world example of how non-SharePoint issues can be resolved and get SharePoint back up and running smoothly.

For this introductory post, I’ll start by throwing out what could be called a "Top Ten list." The next post in the series will focus on #1.

  • Internet Service
  • SQL
  • URL
  • DNS
  • OS (Operating System)
  • IIS (Internet Information Services)
  • TMG (Threat Management Gateway)
  • IPS (Intrusion Prevent System)
  • Windows Updates
  • Customizations
