Add “Click to Call” to SharePoint People Search

At Catapult we recently implemented Unified Communications all the way to our phones. I love the functionality and reach provided by the UC solution. I love getting voice mail in my Inbox. I have to be more careful about my Communicator Status, but that is easy. We needed an easy way to enable calling and lookup inside the company. We already had People search so I decided to add the ability to c...

TechEd 2009 MVP Interview

Heather Kostes, Business Group Lead from Microsoft interviewed me for the Microsoft MVP Program at Tech•Ed 2009. Of course I blathered on about Social Networking and Search. Linux Browser Testing Made Easy

Every once in a while I have a client that requires more extensive browser testing. For most Windows-based browsers I have them installed locally or run a VPC with them installed. I am not a Linux expert by any means so the thought of standing up a particular flavor of Linux to support testing was not appealing. Then I found UNetbootin the Universal Netboot Installer. (http://unetbootin.sourcefor...

Up and running with Silverlight

I have been really wanting to spend time on Silverlight lately. I am a real visual learner (and teacher) so Silverlight and SharePoint are a natural fit for me. I wasted a lot of time on Beta 2 posts while I was troubleshoo...
