I really enjoyed the session and thanks to the attendees for your kind comments. (And sorry to the guy from Florida that I teased!) The fine AV folks at Tech•Ed online have posted the recording of my talk: OFC317 Search Challenges and Tricks

A number of folks have been asking me about the iFilter I used to extract the facial information from the images. I built my demo on the beta version of the iFilter Shops XMP iFilter. They also have a WMV filter that can be used for video metadata.
Here is the collection of XSL files that I use to transform my pages in the demo. They will NOT work for you as is! I Promise! Remember that you have to map the crawled properties and name them the same way I did in my demo. That said, I am posting them so you can decipher them and understand HOW I did the transforms. After I get home I’ll post a step-by-step article on how to do it.

At the end of the session I had a question about how challenging it is to know what data is being returned by the query. I Agree! For example how did I know that rating returns 1, 25, 50, 75, and 99? I use the trick from my previous post Create a XML Test Page for Search Results
Where is the audio version of your Social Network presentatoin from TechED? This is really important to us.
Robin, The folks at TechEd Online have not posted it yet. (Outside my control.) Keep an eye there, it should be up in the next few days.
I'd also be very interested on getting the presentation/video from TechEd, you showed some great information there. I am not sure either if there is some additional resources/how to/samples that would help turn Sharepoint more into a "Facebook" look and feel that would help please some of our users and increase our acceptance levels.
The video is finally available: http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/matthew/archive/2009/05/20/ofc315-social-networking-and-user-profiles-for-business.aspx
I believe the "Microsoft iFilter Blog" is: http://blogs.msdn.com/ifilter/ And not: http://blogs.msdn.com/filters
You are right, thanks!
