When Files aren’t replicating between ConfigMgr (SCCM) Distribution Points or to your clients

 

If you’re receiving error messages in your IIS logs and it seems your packages are sitting in “Install Pending” mode or why does some of your clients receive the files and others don’t.

 

This is a sample error I was receiving with my client receiving the package from the Distribution Point.

If you’ve tried everything in this BLOG (Insider’s Guide to Troubleshooting Client Content Download in Configuration Manager 2007) following URL, then I’m going to show you how to resolve this. However, be warned, this is not for internet facing servers.

 

Edit the following file with notepad:

\\<server>\c$\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config

 

The area you want to edit looks like this, except all of the words “true” will be “false”. You will need change the false to true.
