Tammy “Taz” Diaz started her high tech career at the ripe age of 11 years old, writing a database application to track assets for her junior high school during a summer break. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, she took a short detour into retail management, but then joined the NASA Space Station Launch Package and Integration team, where she was matrixed to the Space Station computing team for four years. In that role, Taz aided in the migration from Apple to Windows and built multiple websites and database applications. She moved on to Microsoft in 1998, where she started on the first Premier Applications Support team as a Support Engineer. In her fifteen-year tenure at Microsoft, Taz continued in Premier as a Technical Lead, Escalation Engineer, and a Technical Account Manager supporting O&G, Medical, Legal, High Tech and Discrete Manufacturing customers.
